Maranatha Baptist Church is an independent, Bible-believing church, which stands for the historic
fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.  Believing that the great commision (given by the
Lord Jesus Christ to the Apostles and received by the early church) is still the marching
orders of the church, we are dedicated to proclaiming Jesus as Savior to all men and believe
that Jesus should not only be a savior, but Lord of those who trust Him for eternal salvation.  We
believe that the local church is responsible to God for the souls of men, both near and far.  Because of
this, missionary work is vital to our entire church program.

The Bible, God's Holy, inspired, unalterable, precious Word,  is our rule for faith and practice, teaching
us not only how to be saved, but also how to live pleasing to God in our earthly pilgrimage.  It is our
sincere conviction that the Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Holy and sinless Son of God, the
second person of the Trinity, the eternal God, one in essence with the Father, and that He was born of
the Holy Spirit through the womb of the Virgin Mary.  After coming to the earth in this way, he then
lived without sin,  thus, clearly establishing the truth that He alone was worthy to redeem sinful, fallen
men, and lead them to fellowship with a Holy God.

The Bible we use, throughout the church, is the King James version.  It has proved to be a great blessing
to English speaking people for nearly four hundred years.  We believe there are many good reasons to
continue to use what God has shown approval of.

We also put much emphasis on the youth.  Our Sunday school, Wednesday night youth program
(AWANA), and our Christian day school (MCA) are all Christ centered.

It is our hope that Jesus, who died, rose bodily from the grave, and ascended to Heaven and sat down at
the Father's right hand, will soon come for His church, even as John, the Apostle wrote in 1 John 3 : 2,
"Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be:  but we know that,
when He shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."

We, too, voice the sentiment of this great Apostle as given in
Revelation 22 : 20, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
