The Maranatha Baptist Church and Pastor Wallace Smith have been honored to host the
MOUNTAINEER BAPTIST CAMPMEETING since 1983. The campmeeting
stands in defense and promotion of old-time Baptist preaching and teaching of doctrine, faith and
practice. The campmeeting is funded by special gifts from supporting churches and individuals.
The preaching is always from the King James Bible by men who are committed to the Bible, Holy
living and the Great Commission.
The services are instructional and inspirational with good music, traditional and southern Gospel, and
Spirit-filled preaching.
The campmeeting always begins on the first Monday following the first Sunday in August. The
service times are: 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday.
A continental breakfast is provided for all who wish to come and enjoy a time of fellowship each
morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. each day of the campmeeting.
Special motel rates and help are available for all preachers, evangelists and missionaries who are in need
of these accomodations.
