1 Corinthians 15:58
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”
Paul’s “therefore” matters. Because resurrection is real—because victory is certain—faithfulness now has weight. Resurrection joy does not produce passivity; it produces perseverance.
Steadfastness resists drift. Unmovable faith refuses to be reshaped by pressure or fatigue. Resurrection life strengthens believers to stay planted when compromise feels easier.
Paul assures us that labor in the Lord is never wasted. Resurrection redeems effort that feels unseen and prayers that feel unanswered. God counts what the world ignores.
This verse speaks directly to weary servants, overlooked saints, and faithful believers who feel forgotten. Resurrection joy reminds us that God keeps perfect record—and He rewards accordingly.
Being “always abounding” does not mean frantic activity. It means faithful consistency. Resurrection life fuels obedience that endures without applause.
If you are tempted to quit quietly, hear this truth clearly: your labor matters. Resurrection guarantees it.
Stand firm. Keep going. Nothing done for Christ is ever in vain.
