John 15:8 — “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.”
The fruit of the Spirit is not given for our glory but for God’s. Jesus declared that the Father is glorified when we bear much fruit. A fruitful life is not optional; it is the evidence of true discipleship.
Abiding in Christ is the key. Just as branches remain connected to the vine, so must we remain connected to the Savior. The Spirit produces fruit not through frantic effort but through steady dependence. Our role is to abide; His role is to produce.
As we close this week, it is worth reflecting on the harvest of the Spirit’s fruit in our lives. Do others see love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, and goodness in us? Are we living in a way that draws attention to the Father’s glory? If not, the solution is not to try harder but to draw closer to Christ.
This Sunday, let us renew our commitment to abide in Him. The world does not need more religious activity; it needs more Spirit-filled believers who bear much fruit to the glory of God.
