One of the most powerful ways to build a Christ-centered home is through consistent, heartfelt family devotions. These don’t have to be long or elaborate—but they should be intentional. Deuteronomy 6 teaches that God’s Word should be a constant part of family life: “When thou sittest… when thou walkest… when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.” In other words—faith should saturate the daily rhythms of the home.

Family devotions create space for spiritual growth, discussion, and togetherness. Whether it’s five minutes after breakfast or twenty minutes before bedtime, these moments matter. Open the Bible, read a passage, ask questions, share what God is teaching you, and pray together. Your children won’t remember every detail—but they’ll remember that Jesus was welcome in your home.

If you’ve struggled to be consistent, start small. Don’t aim for perfection—aim for presence. Pick a simple Bible plan, use a devotional book, or talk through the Sunday sermon together. Most of all, let your love for Christ be evident—it will be contagious.

Family devotions don’t just teach your kids about God—they invite His presence into your home. And where His presence dwells, families are strengthened, hearts are softened, and lives are changed.
