1 Peter 3:15
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
Readiness is not improvisation—it is preparation rooted in reverence. Peter begins not with technique, but with worship: “sanctify the Lord God in your hearts.” Evangelism flows from a heart rightly ordered toward God. Revival restores this foundation.
Being ready does not require theological mastery, but it does require clarity. Believers must know why they hope, not merely that they hope. Revival awakens hunger for understanding so testimony is sincere and confident.
Peter emphasizes posture as much as content. Answers are to be given with meekness and fear—not arrogance or hostility. Revival produces humility that invites conversation rather than shuts it down.
This readiness assumes engagement. People will not ask about hope they cannot see. Revival strengthens both life and lips so hope becomes visible and verbal.
Preparation builds confidence. Fear often stems from uncertainty. Revival motivates believers to learn, reflect, and rehearse the Gospel so hesitation gives way to obedience.
Ask God today to deepen your readiness. Not to debate, but to testify. Not to impress, but to explain. Hope shared gently carries great power.
Be ready. Someone will ask. And God will give grace to answer.
