Hebrews 10:39
“But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”
The writer of Hebrews ends this exhortation with confidence—not fear. God’s people are not defined by retreat, but by perseverance. Faith that endures belongs to those who keep believing even when retreat seems easier.
Drawing back is always an option, but endurance chooses another path. Belief here is not intellectual agreement—it is continued trust expressed through obedience.
This verse is not a threat; it is an affirmation. God’s people are marked by endurance because God sustains them. Faith that endures does so because God preserves it.
Sunday gathers the month’s truth into one clear identity. We are not quitters. Not because we are strong, but because God is faithful.
As May closes, this truth settles deeply. Faith that endures is not flashy, but it lasts. And lasting faith glorifies God.
