1 Corinthians 3:6–7
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”

Paul dismantles comparison with a single truth: God gives the increase. Evangelism is shared work with shared dependence. Revival frees believers from measuring worth by visible results.

Some conversations plant seeds. Others nurture growth. Few see the harvest. Revival restores humility by reminding us that obedience, not outcome, defines faithfulness.

This truth guards against pride and discouragement alike. When results appear, we give God glory. When they don’t, we continue working. Revival steadies the church by anchoring confidence in God’s sovereignty.

Sunday worship renews this perspective. The church gathers not to evaluate effectiveness, but to worship the One who gives growth. Revival re-centers trust where it belongs.

If you have been discouraged by lack of visible fruit, let this truth settle your heart. God sees every faithful act. None are forgotten.

Plant faithfully. Water patiently. Trust completely. God will give the increase.
