She was young, nameless, and far from home—taken captive during a Syrian raid and forced to serve in the household of Naaman, a powerful military commander. Yet in 2 Kings 5, this unnamed servant girl becomes a pivotal figure in one of the Bible’s most powerful stories of healing. When Naaman contracted leprosy, she spoke up in faith: “Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy” (2 Kings 5:3).

She had no position, no power, and no apparent influence. But she had faith. And her willingness to speak up opened the door for Naaman to encounter the living God through the prophet Elisha. Naaman’s pride was eventually broken, his body healed, and his heart turned to the God of Israel—all because of a servant girl’s bold witness.

This young girl reminds us that no one is too small to make a big difference. God often uses the humble and overlooked to accomplish His greatest work. She didn’t preach a sermon or perform a miracle—she simply pointed someone to the One who could help.

If you feel like your voice doesn’t matter, think again. God can use you—right where you are—to point others to Him. Speak truth with courage. Share your faith boldly. You never know how God might use your words to change someone’s eternity.
