Mark 4:26–29
“So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground… and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.”

Jesus reminds us that most of God’s work happens beneath the surface. Seeds grow silently, invisibly, and gradually. Faith that endures must learn to trust the process when there is no immediate evidence of progress.

This parable confronts our impatience. We want visible results, measurable outcomes, and clear milestones. God often gives none of these. Growth occurs according to His design, not our timetable. Enduring faith resists the urge to dig up the seed to check if anything is happening.

The farmer’s role is faithful, not forceful. He plants. He waits. He harvests when the time comes. Faith that endures understands its responsibility without assuming God’s role.

Unseen growth is still real growth. God is shaping character, deepening dependence, and strengthening roots long before fruit appears. Endurance grows when we believe God is working even when we cannot explain how.

If you feel stagnant today, do not despair. Silence does not mean stagnation. Faith that endures trusts God’s hidden work.
