1 Corinthians 15:14–19
“And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.”
Paul refuses half-measures. If the resurrection did not happen, Christianity collapses. Preaching becomes empty. Faith becomes meaningless. Hope dissolves. Resurrection is not an accessory—it is essential.
This honesty strengthens faith. Christianity does not ask for blind loyalty. It stakes everything on a historical claim. Resurrection joy flows from confidence, not denial.
Paul lists the consequences carefully. Without resurrection, sins remain unforgiven. Death remains undefeated. Believers remain deceived. Resurrection is not symbolic—it is salvific.
But Paul’s argument moves quickly from hypothetical to triumphant. Christ is risen. Faith is not vain. Hope is not misplaced. Resurrection secures forgiveness, victory, and future glory.
This truth matters deeply for weary saints. Faith endures because it is anchored in reality. Resurrection joy is not fragile—it is resilient.
Monday returns us to daily life with renewed assurance. The resurrection matters when doubts surface, when suffering presses, and when hope feels thin.
Christ is risen. Faith stands firm. Life is full because the tomb is empty.
