Philippians 3:10
“That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
Paul does not separate holiness from resurrection power. To know Christ is not merely to admire Him—it is to be transformed by Him. Resurrection power fuels holy living, not detached spirituality.
This power is relational. Paul desires to know Christ—not just facts about Him. Resurrection life deepens intimacy, aligning desire with obedience. Holiness is not forced behavior; it is life shaped by love.
Paul also acknowledges suffering. Resurrection power does not remove difficulty—it redeems it. Holiness often grows strongest in pressure, where reliance on God becomes essential.
This truth reframes obedience. Holiness is not the price we pay to earn God’s favor—it is the fruit of resurrection life already given. Revival joy flows from grace-powered transformation, not rule-bound striving.
Saturday reminds us that holiness is not drudgery. It is participation in resurrection life. Power is available not only to resist sin, but to desire righteousness.
Ask God today to deepen your knowledge of Christ—not just in thought, but in practice. Resurrection power equips believers to live differently because they love differently.
