2 Timothy 1:13–14
“Hold fast the form of sound words… That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.”

Paul urges Timothy to guard truth with intention. Enduring faith does not drift doctrinally just because pressure mounts or culture shifts. Truth must be held fast, not merely admired.

Holding the line requires discernment. Faith that endures learns the difference between flexibility and compromise. Guarding truth does not mean rigidity without love—it means clarity without surrender.

Paul reminds Timothy that truth is a trust. It has been “committed” to him. This language carries responsibility. Enduring faith treats doctrine as something sacred, not negotiable.

The work of guarding truth is not done alone. Paul points Timothy to the Holy Ghost who dwells within. Endurance is not sustained by intellectual strength alone, but by spiritual dependence.

This passage speaks to a weary church tempted to loosen convictions for relief. Faith that endures understands that abandoning truth never produces rest—it produces confusion.

Hold fast today. Not aggressively, not fearfully—but faithfully. God’s truth is worth guarding, and He supplies the strength to do so.
